Southwest Girls Tennis Information Fall 2025

The 2025 Minnesota girls high school regular tennis season lasts from Mid-August to early October. The Minneapolis Southwest girls high school tennis team consists of 3 teams: varsity, junior varsity (JV) and the B-squad. Players will have the choice of trying out for varsity, trying out for JV, or electing to be on the B-Squad. Teams will be decided by Thursday August 14th and individual team practices will begin Friday August 15th.

Southwest Tennis is a no-cut program.  In 2024 we had a total of 52 players participate in the Southwest Girls tennis program.  12 Varsity Players, 19 JV White players and 22 JV Purple players.

FALL REGISTRATION

School Athletic Registration Fee: $75

    • The system has changed since last year, please use this new link to register. Because it is a new system, players will have to make a new account.

    • As for payments: Payments can be made online at: https://www.studentquickpay.com/mpls/
    • Additionally, a check made out to ‘Southwest Athletics’ can be dropped in the lockbox outside the athletic office in the Southwest building.
    • **7th, 8th and 9 graders must pay by check/cash as the online payment will not work for them.

The first day of practice for all fall sports is Monday, August 11th.
