Junior Team Tennis (JTT) – 2 Divisions this year
WHAT IS JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS?
USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) brings together boys and girls to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other local coed teams (e.g. Bloomington, Hopkins, Holy Angels). Junior Team Tennis is a fun opportunity to play competitive tennis with friends in a team-based format outside of the school season, and to prepare for the Girls fall school season.

JTT Divisions
Level 1
- Level 1matchplay on Wednesday, every other week, time and location TBD (mid-day) 2 home matches, 2 away
Level 2 (high JV up to Mid-level varsity players. WTN range of 32-38)
- Matches are on Thursday afternoons (1-3pm) weekly, either home at Linden Hills or away
- 3 home matches and 2-3 away matches
JTT Practices: TBD – likely to be held by Coach Lauren sometime early in the week. Level 1 and Level 2 practices will be held together.
Save the Dates: (JULY opportunities)
1) JTT Sectional tournament– July 20th-22nd during the daytime at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Hights. Please save the date if you are playing JTT, this is a very fun tournament. It can be an all-day affair, so please block your schedule. We are allowed to create an All-Star team for sectionals, combining the Level 1 and Level 2 teams into 1 team. Let’s go win it this year!
2) Freezie Cup Tournament– Level 1 Players only. July 17th 9am-6pm at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights. This is a new tournament this year, and a great opportunity for rising players to get competitive matches.
3) Northern JTT Open in Duluth. Date TBD – Usually the first weekend after Independence day week (July 10th). Coach Ryan will reserve the Edgewater Waterpark hotel for 1-2 nights and go play some tennis overlooking Lake Superior. It’s an awesome venue at Longview Tennis Club.
